Works acquired by the program "Sou Patrono" are presented in an exhibition at MON

Works of art that are part of the Oscar Niemeyer Museum (MON) collection can be seen by the public in the exhibition "Sou Patrono” (I am a Patron). The show, on display in Room 2 since September 6, presents a selection of the 78 works of art acquired in recent years with funds from patronage.

The exhibition “Sou Patrono” (“I am Patron”) brings to the public at the Oscar Niemeyer Museum a selection of works acquired thanks to the homonymous program created by MON.

It is a movement for the appreciation of art made by unique people who understand its importance and support its development. They are engaged and committed to culture, contributing annually with the exclusive objective of expanding the Museum's collection through the purchase of new works.

With funds made possible by the Sou Patrono Program, in recent years 78 important works of art were acquired, which became part of the MON collection and, consequently, of Paraná.

More than just financial support, the patrons pay tribute to art and are an active part of the Museum's day-to-day activities. They participate in several exclusive activities that value and make the sense of belonging to this cultural facility of paramount importance for the country's art and culture to grow even more.

With this initiative, MON expands its collection – which currently has 14 thousand of works of art – and continues to qualify itself as one of the best museums in Brazil and Latin America.

More than the financial support, the patrons pay tribute to the art and participate in various activities that value belonging to the cultural equipment. 

The exhibition includes works by artists such as Regina Silveira, Fernando Velloso, Eduardo Berliner, Ronaldo Simon, Geraldo Leão, Efigênia Rolim, and others.
